We set off before dawn from our hotel in Taitung, embarking on a group cycling journey toward Hengchun. The winding South-Link Highway led us through breathtaking scenery, but nothing compared to the challenge of conquering Shouka—an unforgiving climb that felt endless, as if the mountain itself were testing our will. Legs burned, breaths shortened, yet we pressed on, lifting each other with words of encouragement and quiet determination.

Reaching the summit, the wind embraced us, and the vast sea and mountains opened before our eyes. The descent felt like flying—free, wild, and unforgettable. Though we arrived in Hengchun exhausted, we carried with us something far greater: a memory of strength, unity, and the spirit of youth that no distance could ever fade.
