Day 5 of our cycling trip around Taiwan is a journey that will stay in my heart for a long time. The challenge had already begun quietly when we set off at dawn. After climbing three small hills along the way, our strength had been worn down little by little, yet the real test still lay ahead of us: Shouka, the climb that everyone knew would not be easy. Under the blazing sun, sweat kept running down our faces, and our legs felt as heavy as lead. Every push on the pedals felt like a tug-of-war with ourselves. Just as we were beginning to wonder whether we could take even one more step forward, the cheers of our classmates rose one after another in our ears like a beam of light, rekindling strength in our exhausted bodies.
When all 30 students in our class made it to Shouka together, with no one left behind, what filled our hearts was not only joy, but also an indescribable sense of emotion. We realized that what we had overcome was not just a mountain, but also our fatigue, our hesitation, and those moments when we were almost ready to give up. What carried us through it all was the companionship and encouragement that never let go along the way.
That night, back at the hotel, as we read the letters our parents had written to us, the emotions we had tried so hard to hold back during the day suddenly softened. Those familiar words of care and blessing made us realize that behind every step we fought to take forward, our families had always been there, quietly watching over us from afar. Shouka taught us perseverance that day, and that night, those letters reminded us that love had been there all along.
環台第5天，是一段會留在心裡很久的旅程。清晨出發時，考驗其實就已悄悄開始。一路翻過三座小山，體力早已被一點一滴消磨，而真正等待著我們的，仍是那座人人都知道不容易的壽卡。烈日高掛，汗水沿著臉頰不停滑落，雙腿像灌了鉛般沉重，每一次踩踏，都像是在和自己拔河。就在快要懷疑自己是否還能再向前一步時，耳邊總會響起同學們此起彼落的加油聲，像一道光，替疲憊不堪的身體重新點起力量。
當我們班30位同學一個也不少地騎上壽卡時，心裡湧上的不只是喜悅，更是一種說不出的感動。原來，我們翻越的不只是一座山，還有那些疲憊、退縮與幾乎想放棄的瞬間；而陪著我們走過這一切的，是一路都不曾鬆開的陪伴與鼓勵。
夜裡回到飯店，讀著爸爸媽媽寫來的家書，白天努力壓下的情緒忽然變得柔軟。那些熟悉的叮嚀與祝福，讓人明白，原來在我們奮力向前的每一步背後，始終都有家人在遠方默默守候。今天的壽卡教會我們堅持，而今晚的家書，則讓我們懂得，愛一直都在。
