Day01 心得分享：1001
Following the familiar Huacheng Road downhill, led by 1001 at the front, the journey around the island officially began. In the dim light, helmets reflected tiny glimmers, while the subtle sound of tires humming against the pavement marked the opening of this adventure.
As the group entered the Beiyi Highway, the road gradually began to rise. Layers of forest lined both sides, and the greenery continuously slipped backward out of sight. At first, everyone still wore smiles full of excitement and anticipation. But as the slope grew steeper, the students’ backs began to lean slightly forward, their legs pedaling in a steady rhythm, and their breathing became clearly audible on the quiet mountain road. Sweat ran down their cheeks, sparkling faintly under the sunlight.
In the afternoon, the group arrived at the famous “Nine Turns and Eighteen Bends.” The continuous curves coiled through the mountains like a giant serpent. From a distance, the line of riders stretched into waves of rising and falling arcs. Echoing through the valley was the squad leader’s firm shout, “Keep your distance!”, a clear and powerful reminder for everyone to stay focused.
As the long ride wore on, some riders’ pedaling grew heavier, and signs of exhaustion appeared on their faces. Some even briefly thought about giving up. Yet whenever they looked up and saw their companions still gritting their teeth and pressing forward, a simple word of encouragement from one another became the strength they needed to keep going. When the final stretch of winding road was finally conquered, the distant mountains and drifting mist came into view. Layer upon layer, the scenery unfolded before their eyes. In that moment, all the fatigue seemed to be replaced by a deep sense of accomplishment, making everyone even more eager for the unknown journey ahead.
